It is a great unit but not necessary for someone like me.
Yeti 1000 solar panels.
Goal zero yeti 1000 lithium compatible solar panels.
Be warn it is huge.
The fact that the unit can be easily charged by portable solar power anywhere on the earth s surface provided the sun shines there and there are is a compatible solar panel close by.
Yeti 1000 is also sold as a solar kit with a boulder 100 briefcase solar panel gas generator alternative with no noise no fumes no gasoline no maintenance customers who bought this item also bought.
I was able to recharge it with a 100w solar panel drawing in about 40 60w variably by about 10 00 on a fairly sunny intermittently cloudy day.
It is the latter reason for owning the unit that will occupy my time hence.
I purchased the gz yeti 1000 lithium and planed to purchase 2 of the boulder 200 solar panels 2.
Seven hours later the yeti was at 93 charge.
This panel set up when hooked up to my yeti 1000 lithium through the optional mppt solar panel adapter from goal zero i get about 150 180 watts per hour on a clear day.
Recharges from ac or pair with a solar panel sold separately.
Note that the panels with a green checkmark next to requires additional adapter will also require the purchase of the adapter i linked to above and will talk more about down below.
The boulder 200 briefcase will fully recharge the yeti 1000 lithium in about 10 20 hours.
Thanks for watching my review and explanation of why i am selling my goal zero yeti 1000.
The unit has an anderson power pole output not the traditional 8mm like the small panels from goal zero.
Charge time is dependent on the size of the solar panel.
The first night camping i used the dc cord with my cpap humidification and the yeti 1000 at 100 charge.
Recharge from the sun by connecting a compatible solar panel.
However i am looking at the great solar panel choices you suggested as well my question is whether or not there is a way to store the solar power in a bank of some type to use to power the generator more on demand.
