Z4 Roof Button Flashing Red

If i use the manual crank and wind the front top motor back 4 turns a i would to close it manually and then press close roof button.

The roof will not automatically go down any more and when i push the button nothing happens. The red led blinks to represent the major error category long blinks. The white led blinks to represent the minor error category short blinks. Have a 2002 bmw 325ci that when i press the down button a red light lights up and roof will not go down.

The light is flashing red but the top will not move and the back window is in the down position. 1 second pause occurs after the last major blink. Z4 retractable hardtop won t go down. Looks closed but isn t locked so roof impaired message and red light flashing on button.

Hi the softtop roof on my 2006 z4 unlatches from the screen and the main motor runs for 2 seconds and the roof stops open 2 5cm or an inch. Can you tell me if that is normal or is there something else i should do. For example 3 5 indicates 3 long red blinks and 5 short white blinks. That light does not blink now but it is solid red.

About the asc sunroof. So i ran the sunroof thru a couple of opening and closing cycles.
